FlashDisc

FlashDisc

The FlashDisc is a low-capacity USB flash drive made by Memorex. It is being sold as the "world’s first shareable (i.e. inexpensive), flash-based USB storage media". It is packaged in a form factor that looks like a floppy disk.

Since floppy disk drives are not longer available on many computers and since many computers have trouble reading and writing in UDF on CD-RW, this product may find a market, especially for students.

The list price is $20.00 for a package of three 16mb drives.

*Update: As of April, 2008, the FlashDisc has been discontinued.
