Tovdal

Tovdal ("Lille Topdal") is a former municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway.

From 1837 Tovdal was a part of Åmli formannskapsdistrikt. On January 1, 1908 the district was split into three separate municipalities: Tovdal, Gjøvdal og Åmli. At that point Tovdal had a population of 389.

On January 1, 1967 Tovdal, then with 161 inhabitants, was reunited with Åmli under the name Åmli.
