Kym Lardner is an
Australia n children'sauthor ,illustrator , and storyteller.Kym's first picture book, "The Sad Little Monster and the Jelly Bean Queen", was published by
Hodder and Stoughton in 1981. After his first book was published, Kym began booking appearances atPrimary School s where he would tell original stories, creating art, and performing music. In addition to two self-produced video productions, theAustralian Broadcasting Corporation has produced live recordings of Lardner's appearances which are published oncompact disc .Hodders has sold 130,000 copies of Lardner's works. Kym Lardner is an Australian children's author, illustrator, and storyteller.His first picture book, The Sad Little Monster and the Jelly Bean Queen, was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1981. After this first book was published, Kym Lardner began telling stories in Adelaide schools where he would also draw on the blackboard and sing improvised songs using the children's names. After 25 years of live storytelling in Australian schools his work was finally recorded. The ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) produced live recordings of all Kym Lardner's stories and these are available at their shops (ABC Shops) Kym performs at children's festivals and has visited London for storytelling twice where his fresh Aussie humour was most appreciated.
