Russellville, Kentucky , WUBT was originally WBVR ("The Beaver"), acountry music -formatted station which received minorArbitron ratings in the Nashville market (the callsign is now used by another, similar station) and was later aimed at the Nashville market, first in the "smooth jazz " format and later as "The One", acontemporary Christian music outlet. The current usage of the station is now a Urban Hip-Hop/R&B Station known as 101.1 The Beat Jamz.As WUBT, the station has become quite highly-rated in the Nashville market. It is controlled by
Clear Channel Broadcasting . Its main competitor is longtime heritage stationWQQK . It is home to theSteve Harvey Morning Show since July 2007, replacingDoug Banks .The call letters were previously assigned to Chicago at 103.5 where it aired a jammin' oldies format. It only made a small dent in ratings with the exception of when they had legendary Chicago radio personality Larry Lujack doing a Saturday show. Lujack did the show from his house in New Mexico with his co-host, Matt McCann from the Chicago studio. The show was highly rated but the format changed and became KISS FM with a top 40 format.
