Quakenbrück is a town in the district of Osnabrück, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the river Hase. It is part of the "Samtgemeinde" ("collective municipality") of Artland.

Quakenbrück is known for its professional basketball team, the Artland Dragons.

History

Quakenbrück was founded in 1234 by the Bishop of Osnabrück, according to the earliest documents, although the area had been settled previously. It served as a border to the north of Osnabrück.
