- Planning Inspectorate
The Planning Inspectorate for England and Wales (Yr Arolygiaeth Gynllunio) is an
executive agency of theDepartment for Communities and Local Government of theUnited Kingdom Government . It is responsible for the determination (deciding) ofplanning and enforcement appeals and public examination of local development plans. The Inspectorate's headquarter offices are inBristol ; a separate office inCardiff deals with planning appeals in Wales. TheScottish Executive Inquiry Reporters' Unit inScotland and thePlanning Appeals Commission inNorthern Ireland are the equivalent institutions for those countries.ee also
