The station was first opened on
September 23 ,1906 by a private company as a station on theChūō Main Line but was nationalised only a week later when theJapanese National Railways took over the company and all of its assessments. In 2000, theToei Ōedo Line was finished, providing the first subway line access at the station.Layout
