Kongens Nytorv station is a station on the
Copenhagen Metro ,Copenhagen ,Denmark . It is served by the M1 and M2 lines. It is located underKongens Nytorv plaza, in fare zone 1.The station has bicycle parking facilities.
Access to the station is possible via a lift (elevator) from the street right down to the platforms, as well as steps into the station from the street, plus an entry point to the ticket machine level from the Magasin du Nord department store.
Once the
City Circle Line is finished, the station will become one of the two intersection points between lines M3 and M4 and the existing metro lines.Incidents
In
2006 , a woman committedsuicide at Kongens Nytorv station. She jumped off the station concourse and fell about 14meter s. Personnel andpassenger s at the station were offered counselling afterwards. The station was closed for two hours after the incident.ee also
