Service
Monday to Saturday daytimes, there is generally an hourly service southbound towards Manchester Victoria and northbound towards Wigan Wallgate & Kirkby respectively. Additional trains call during the weekday peak period, which operate on the Manchester–Wigan–Southport service.
Evenings there is an hourly service in each direction to Manchester Victoria and Wigan.
There is no Sunday service and at first it was thought that this would not change with the reintroduction of Sunday trains on the line from 23 May 2010. On 1 March 2010 however Northern Rail announced that Sunday trains would stop at Moorside.
