Clarke High School is the local high school for Orono, Newcastle, Newtonville, Kendal, and Kirby, Ontario. The high school is located on the eastside of Highway 115. With a student population of about 700, Clarke is known as a rural school.
Clarke High School is the home of the Clarke Raiders (an umbrella name for the various teams in the school) as well as the home of the Clarke Student Council, which has recently formed its own website under the leadership of Mr. Kelly. Within the community and through Clarke High School, the students involved in student council have been driving the community efforts for stopping degradation of society and reducing pollution.
