- Adam Haslett
Adam Haslett (1970 - ) is an American fiction writer. He is a graduate of
Swarthmore College (B.A., 1992), theUniversity of Iowa (M.F.A., 1999), andYale Law School (J.D., 2003). He has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, the Michener/Copernicus Society of America, and Breadloaf. His first book, a collection of short stories called "You Are Not a Stranger Here", was released in 2002 to significant critical acclaim, going on to be shortlisted for the 2002National Book Award and the 2003 Pulitzer Prize. He received the L.L. Winship PEN New England Award in 2003. His work has appeared in "The New Yorker", "The Nation", "Zoetrope", and "Best American Short Stories" as well as National Public Radio's Selected Shorts. He lives in New York City, where he works part-time as a legal consultant and as an adjunct assistant professor in the writing division at Columbia University's School of the Arts. He is currently working on a first novel.External links
