Final Fantasy IV ", when he created the long-time series staple, theActive Time Battle combat system. Afterwards, he served as a designer for a number of elements in the series, including the Job system in "Final Fantasy V ", the Esper system in "Final Fantasy VI ", and the Junction system and theTriple Triad card game in "Final Fantasy VIII ".
