Trzebinia [IPA-pl|t|sz|e|'|b|i|ń|a] is a town in south Poland with 20,373 inhabitants (2005). It is situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Katowice Voivodeship (1975–1998).

Trzebinia is an important industrial center, with an oil refinery belonging to the Orlen company as well as a power plant, located in nearby Siersza. It also is a major rail junction, located on the Kraków - Katowice line, with connections to Oświęcim and Spytkowice.

Massacre during Second World War

On 5 September 1939 during German Invasion of Poland Wehrmacht soldiers mass murdered 97 people in the town [ Szymon Datner "55 Dni Wehrmachtu w Polsce" page 239] .
