Chicago, Illinois ) is an American actor, director, writer, and producer.After serving in the Air Force, McCracken studied with
Sanford Meisner andWilliam Alderson at theNeighborhood Playhouse in New York City and then throughout his career withStella Adler ,Jack Garfein , andLarry Moss . He’s starred on Broadway and off-Broadway, as well as working at the acclaimedCircle Repertory Company in New York City, where he originated roles in new works by such playwrights asLanford Wilson ,Beth Henley , andLee Kalcheim as well as leading roles in feature films and television.McCracken co-produced the
Academy Award nominated feature film "Quiz Show " directed byRobert Redford as well as winning Best Picture by theNew York Film Critics Circle Awards . McCracken also Executive Produced the independent feature film "One Cup of Coffee " which won the Audience Award for Best Picture at theSundance Film Festival before being distributed byMiramax Films as "Pastime ".As a director McCracken has helmed over seventy episodes of television that include "
NYPD Blue ", "Boy Meets World ", and "Dinosaurs".McCracken authored the play "
Nectar From the Gods " and the screenplay "Jimmy Nolan ".McCracken holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Creative Writing from
