Ranjith (born 1964),One of the most successful screen writer in Malayalam cinema.

Career

In 1985 he took his degree from School of Drama. 2 years later his first film released Oru May Masapulariryil.After that he worked in lot of films with Directors like Kamal,Shaji Kailas,Sibi malayil,VijiThampi,etc... But when he wrote the script for Devasuram the Complete structure of Malayalam Cinema changed. The audience experienced new phase of heroism. Mangalasherry Neelakantan the hero of Devasuram is still remains in the mind of the people in kerala. Mohanlal the most gifted actor for ever time in Indian cinema made this character remarkable in the Celluloid. After the Success of Devasuram he joins hands with Shaji Kailas and Mohanlal to produce Films like Aram Thampuran and Narasimham. Both of them are Mega hits. Narasimham broke all the Collection records.The Script of the Aram thamburan still remains as the one of the best film Scripts in Malayalam Cinema. Renjiths script ,Shaji kailas's Direction,and Mohanlal’s acting-made the movie a super duper hit!!.After the huge success as a ScriptWriter he turned to Direction. His first directorial venture Ravanaprabhu [second part of Devasuram] ), won the award for the most popular film On that year. After the huge success of Ravanaprabhu he directed the film Nandanam. He got a lot of appreciation for this film. This film satisfies the rules of Commercial and art cinema. Presently he is working with Mammooty , another megastar in his own rights. He has recently acted in a movie named Gulmohar after a long time. He is trying his acting talent again in this new movie with Meenu Mathew which is a new face in Malayalam Cinema.
