The Golden Pass is an exclusive ticket which allows the holder access to all nine of the theme parks owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company. First awarded to Dave MacPherson in 1955, the first member of the public to become a paying guest at Disneyland, [cite news | last = Thiessen | first = Mark | title = First paying Disneyland guest marks 50th anniversary from Utah | publisher = San Diego Union Tribune | date = 2005-07-16 | url = http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/state/20050716-0935-disney-firstguest.html | accessdate = 2008-03-26] the Pass is awarded to all Disney Legends, has been handed to countless dignitaries and heads of state, and all the members of the board of directors hold one.

As of 2006, the Pass is valid for;
* Disneyland
* Disney's California Adventure
* The Magic Kingdom
* Epcot
* The Disney's Hollywood Studios
* Disney's Animal Kingdom
* Disneyland Paris
* The Walt Disney Studios
* Hong Kong Disneyland

When Passes were renewed at the start of 2005, the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort was still under construction and it was noted on the Pass that it would not be valid for entry. This is changed at the start of 2006. The two parks at the Tokyo Disney Resort - Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea - are not part of the allowance, as they are owned and operated by The Oriental Land Company under licenses from Disney.

On May 2, 2006, Disney honoured the two billionth guest of a Disney park at Disneyland. [cite web | title = Disney Theme Parks welcome 2 Billionth Guest | publisher = asiatraveltips.com | date = 2006-05-09 | url = http://www.asiatraveltips.com/news06/95-Disney.shtml | accessdate = 2008-03-26] The guest received a modified version of the Golden Pass - this time, it entitled admission to the two theme parks at the Tokyo Disney Resort. The Oriental Land Company allowed this because the two billion count included guests at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

On February 7, 2008, 2 Golden Passes were given to the first 2 babies born in the Year of the Rat.
