The Kuantan satellite earth station is satellite earth station located near Beserah Beach, Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. It was owned by Jabatan Telekom, which has been renamed Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) after it was privatized.
History
Construction began in the 1967 and was completed in 1970. The earth satellite station was opened on 4 April 1970 by the then Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman. The earth satellite station is currently still in use.
