Jalandhar district

Jalandhar district is one of the twenty districts in the state of Punjab in North-West India. The capital is Jalandhar. Nawanshahr district except the Balachaur sub-division was part of the original Jalandhar district until the mid 1990's when a separate district of Nawanshahr was created including Nawanshahr and Banga areas of Jalandhar district and Balachaur area of Hoshiarpur district.

Bilga

Bilga is the largest village in Jalandhar district and is about km to mi|35 from Jalandhar city. It is well known for its historical Gurudwara and is divided in seven sub parts (patti's). It is surrounded by lush green fields and quite well developed as compared to surrounding areas. Having all basic amenities services Bilga shows a complete picture of Punjabi culture. Bilga is also so well developed because of a lots of NRI people especially from sanghera and Bhatthal families.
