In the Heart was an album released by the funk band Kool and the Gang in 1983. The album became a hit, and brought a return to the billboard charts for the band. The hit love song single "Joanna" soared to #2 on the charts, and #1 on the R&B. The single Straight Ahead scored #15 in The UK singles charts.
