Václav Kaprál (1889-1947) was a Czech
pianist andcomposer .Kaprál studied composition withLeoš Janáček in theBrno Organ School (1908-1910) and withVítězslav Novák (1919-1920) inPrague . Later, he studied piano interpretation withAlfred Cortot inParis (1923-1924).Kaprál composed about fifty opuses, mainly solo piano, vocal, and chamber music. He was father of Czech composerVítězslava Kaprálová .Works
