"Supernova" is the debut album from the "L" in TLC - Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. The album was not released in the United States, although it was released in other countries. The first single, "The Block Party", was sent to radio in the summer of 2001, becoming a top 20 smash hit, but it did not perform well in the U.S. singles chart. The second single would have been "Hot", as was made clear at the end of her music video. However, when the album release was cancelled in the United States, all further singles were cancelled.It is guessed that if Supernova was released in the United States, it would have been popular and would have sold a substantial amount. However, since the album was not released, Lisa Lopes had already started to work on new material for a second solo album, and even recorded some new material before her fatal car accident in 2002. Left Eyes' upcoming album Eye Legacy in stores January 27th 2009, will have re-released songs on the album from Supernova, such as "Untouchable".
