St. George's College (Mussoorie), is one of the premier boarding schools in

The school, primarily an all-boys residential mainstay, was instituted in 1853 by the Capuchin Fathers and entrusted to the Society of the Reverend Brothers of St. Patrick (Patrician Brothers of Ireland) in 1894.In 1948, St. Fidelis campus was amalgamated with St. George's College.
tudent Life
A typical day consists of starting the day with a one hour study session followed by breakfast. The entire school assembles in front of the classrooms and says the Lord's prayer. After classes, there is a mandatory run around the nearby Fox Hill. This is followed by a one hour sports time. Students get an "outing" day every month when they are permitted to go out into the town. Sports Day in October is the highlight at the end of the year.
Alumni Success
Since its inception, St. George's College has contributed substantially to the country's armed forces and its success in sports and academics. Numerous alumni have made significant inroads in the fields of engineering and management. Various students have also pursued successful careers in medical sciences and associated processes. The school has an active and dedicated alumni body.
