Jim Horn

Jim Horn

Jim Horn is an American saxophonist. He was born in Los Angeles, and after replacing HoF saxophonist Steve Douglas in 1959, he provided the raucous sax sounds on Duane Eddy recordings. His tenor sax playing on "Shazam" and other tracks on these early albums is an object lesson in rock and roll sax and together with Bobby Keys and Jim Price he became one of the most in-demand horn session players of the 1970s and 1980s. Horn played on solo albums by all the members of the Beatles, joining Nicky Hopkins in having done so.

Horn also played flute and saxophone on the The Beach Boys' album "Pet Sounds".
