Linolenic acid

Linolenic acid

Linolenic acid can refer to either of two fatty acids:

*Alpha-linolenic acid – an ω-3 fatty acid found in many vegetable oils. The unmodified term "linolenic acid" most commonly refers to this substance.
*Gamma-linolenic acid – an ω-6 fatty acid
