K G Suresh is one of the senior journalists working in
New Delhi , the capital of theRepublic of India . He is currently working as Consulting Editor with the Critique- India's only media monitor. He was earlier Chief Political Correspondent with the Press Trust of India and New Delhi Bureau Chief of PIO TV, the only web channel for non-resident Indians. With a professional experience of 20 years, Suresh is the recipient of prestigious fellowships including the Prem Bhatia Fellowship for Research in Media by Young Journalists - 2000 and Action Aid International's Media For Change Fellowship-2005.Suresh is considered an authority in right wing politics with his over decade long experience in covering the
Hindu nationalistBJP and its right wingSangh Parivar organizations. He has also been to trouble spots includingKabul ,Kathmandu (in the aftermath ofKing Birendra 's assassination) andKashmir to covercounter-insurgency operations. He has covered the India visit ofPope John Paul II and US PresidentsBill Clinton andGeorge W. Bush .He is a Visiting Professor at the prestigiousIndian Institute of Mass Communications ,University of Delhi and theMakhan Lal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism . Suresh is a regular speaker at major national and international conferences and had delivered the keynote address on human rights at the LAWASIA International Conference in New Delhi.He had earlier served PTI, India's premier news agency, in different capacities including as Special Correspondent, Political Correspondent, Deputy Chief Reporter and Chief Crime Reporter.He is also General Secretary of the Indian Media Centre, New Delhi, an independent non-profit institution dedicated to promoting the highest standards in journalism and the Director of the Global Foundation for Civilizational Harmony (India)- an Eastern Initiative for Conflict Avoidance.
