- Woodard Racing
Woodard Racing (formerly Woodard & Sharp Racing) was a
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team owned byRick Woodard and formerlyEddie Sharp . They fielded the #25 Dodge forBoston Reid andDamon Lusk with limited sponsorship fromRed Rocks Cafe .Formation
The team tapped Reid to drive in December 2005, in hopes of a full season in 2006. With support from
Evernham Motorsports and the owners points from the #62 ofOrleans Racing , the team hoped to contend for Rookie of the Year. However, Reid struggled early to avoid trouble. He crashed out of the first two races, but later improved and the team became solid top-20 finishers. However, co-owner Eddie Sharp gave his half in ownership to Woodard to focus on hisARCA RE/MAX Series team. Reid was released late in the season and was replaced byDamon Lusk , who also struggled. Although initial reports said that the team had shut down, Woodard downplayed these rumors, needing only a sponsor to run the full season. Considering that the team did not run a race in 2007, coupled with the closing of their website, it is assumed that Woodard has shut down the team.External links
