Kimbolton Kart Club

Kimbolton Kart Club

Kimbolton Kart Club is a circuit for both gearbox and non-gearbox Karts. The track, operated by the Hunts Kart Racing Club, is Convert|1020|m|mi|1 in length.

It is located on Kimbolton Airfield, a former WWII airfield near Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire, England.

Since 1959, the track has seen several revisions. One of its earliest extensions used the land owners landing strip as part of the track. This forced the land owner to land his plane on the main start and finish straight. During the 1980’s it was common for races to be red flagged (stopped) in order for the track to be cleared, so the land owners plane could land. The track was extended drastically in 1990, and the new layout also made way for a separate landing strip for the land owner.
