Sol Worth

Sol Worth

Sol Worth (b. New York City; August 19, 1922 - August 29, 1977) was a painter, photographer, film maker, researcher, and pioneer in the use of film in anthropological field research as well as a founding father in the field of visual communication.

He is perhaps most famous for his book, "Through Navajo Eyes: An Exploration in Film Communication and Anthropology", which he co-authored with anthropologist John Adair. Worth was the author of over two dozen scholarly papers in the fields of anthropology and communications, as well in the field of visual communication.
