Lyndel Rowe

Lyndel Rowe is an Australian actress who is best known for her work with the Melbourne Theatre Company, the Sydney Theatre Company and the State Theatre Company of South Australia. Ms. Rowe is now living in London. In the 1960s she played Pip in Moby Dick for the Union Theatre Repertory Company under John Sumner with the late Frank Thring playing Captain Ahab. Then a struggling young actress she lived in digs at Gipps Street East Melbourne and after at Hoddle Street with other members of the Union Theatre. While at Hoddle Street she assisted a fellow actor get a small singing part in the UTRC's Romanoff and Juliet, featuring Noel Ferrier and Frank Thring, by buying him a guitar. The actor still has the guitar. In 2004 she appeared with Lewis Fiander in 'Afterplay' under the direction of Malcolm Robertson, a UTRC veteran, at FortyFive Downstairs, Flinders Lane Melbourne. The actor with the guitar attended a performance after not seeing her in over thirty years. Her talent was as radiant as it had ever been. =External links=
