Ladislav Smoček (*
24 August 1932 ,Prague ,Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech playwright and theater director.After studying at a secondary school in
Plzeň he graduated from the Theatre Faculty of theAcademy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) in1956 . In1965 he co-founded The Drama Club ("Činoherní klub"), where he remains employed till the present. Though he wrote less than ten plays, he is together withVáclav Havel andPavel Kohout one of the most performed Czech playwrights.Plays
