Rory and Wendy Alec are the co-founders of GOD TV, a Christian television station that broadcasts to approximately 200 nations and territories 24 hours a day, claiming a potential viewership of up to half a billion people. Personal History

Rory Alec was born and raised in Rustenburg, South Africa. Despite poor grades in school, Rory excelled in music, playing the piano, keyboard, drums and guitar by the age of 14. Two years after Rory's "born again" experience, he met Wendy Koefman at a Church in Rustenburg where he was the congregation's musician.

Although born in London, Wendy moved to South Africa when she was eight years old. She attended Natal University in Durban. In 1982, Wendy enrolled in the Rhema Bible College in Johannesburg. Soon after, she became a minister at a church in Rustenburg, where she met Rory.

The pair married in 1987 at a ceremony in Durban and have two children, Christian and Samantha.

Professional History

In 1988, Rory and Wendy Alec launched Alec Gene Productions, a television commercial production agency in Johannesburg, South Africa. The couple lost the company in the early 1990s due to the political situation is South Africa.

In 1995, Rory and Wendy launched a Christian television channel, BskyB. In 1997, the channel was rebranded to be GOD TV. Today, Rory serves as the CEO of GOD TV, in charge of global expansion of the network. As Creative Director, Wendy Alec is responsible for the network’s programming and marketing initiatives. In 2000, GOD TV won the Angel Awards for the following programs: the children's weekend show DK Extreme, The Heart of David Conference with Rick Joyner, and testimony series Holy Ground. Television Shows

The Rory & Wendy Show, which is available online 24/7 as well as on GOD TV channel 365 on DirecTV, is a Christian program that features guest ministers such as John Hagee, Kim Clement, Ron Luce, Rick Joyner and Reinhardt Bonnke.
