Recent Coverage

In March 2008, Warden Park School was shown on the BBC's South East Today. The programme had an article about the forthcoming introduction of Biometric fingerprinting to be used by pupils to pay for their school meals. This technology was implemented in Warden Park school in June 2008.

Depsite promises from headmaster Steve Johnson that lunch queues would be reduced and everything would be easier, this has not been the casefact|date=September 2008. Many students feel it was solely for publicityfact|date=September 2008, so Steve could get himself and the school into the press, and be seen to be ahead of the times. Despite concerns by senior members of staff, protests promised by students sworn to defending the human rights of Warden Park pupils never materialised. The biometrics has changed very little in the school and is widely seen as a disapointing splatter on Steve Johnsons legacyfact|date=September 2008.
