Kanchausi

Kanchausi is a village in Auraiya District in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh in India. This village has a population of about 10000 and is located on the main railway line connecting Delhi and Calcutta and is on the boarder between the districts of Kanpur and Etawah. The railway station is named as "Kanchausi Bazar". The main occupation of people here is agriculture and petty business. Though there are two 10+2 schools here, the education level of most of the people is not very high.

This small place has seen some golden times when it had flourishing business by some enterprenaurs. It used to attract many visitors. However with time things have deteriorated now.

The place is connected by both rail and road. There are few pessanger trains that connect this place with business hub Kanpur and District Headquarters at Etawah. The nearest Airport is in Kanpur.
