Benet Copping

Benet Copping (born 7 October 1986) is an Australian rules footballer. He plays mainly as either a centre half-forward or centre half-back and began his football career at Mt. Barker Football Club in the Adelaide Hills Football League.

Fremantle Dockers

Recruited from the Sturt Football Club as a key position prospect with selection no. 59 in the 2004 AFL Draft, Copping mainly played in the WAFL reserves competition for East Perth in 2005. The nephew of former Essendon player Stephen Copping, by the end of 2006 he was earning a regular spot in defence in the league team.

Copping was delisted at the end of the 2006 season without playing a senior game for Fremantle, however was redrafted with Fremantle's last round pick in the 2007 Rookie Draft. He was again delisted at the end of the 2007 season, still without making his AFL debut. Copping has since returned to Adelaide to play with Sturt. [http://www.sturtfc.com.au/season_playcoach.htm]
