528th Reconnaissance Battalion

The 528th Reconnaissance Battalion Vlad Ţepeş ("Batalionul 528 Cercetare Vlad Ţepeş") is part of the Romanian Land Forces, and is based in Brăila, Romania. Members of the battalion have voluntarily participated in various deployments abroad, incorporated into other units (light infantry).

The unit's headquarters incorporate a shooting range and various other training facilities, as well as an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

The 528th Reconnaissance battalion used to be the main reconnaissance unit of the former 67th Mechanised Division (disbanded in the early 1990s).
