August 14 ,1966 inKarlskoga ,Sweden ) is a former Norwegian football player. He was a natural allrounder, but played primarily on the right side in the midfield. Løken spent most of his career atRosenborg BK , where he won the league eight times. He was also the top scorer inTippeligaen in 1991, and was capped 36 times for Norway. He was in the 1994 World Cup squad, as an unused substitute.In 1997, after 12 seasons for Rosenborg, he was transferred to
Stabæk , where he played two seasons before retiring, briefly coaching a Stabæk youth team thereafter. While at Rosenborg, Løken attended theNorwegian Institute of Technology , where he got a Master's degree inchemical engineering . He now works forStatoil , and is also asports commentator forNRK .Honours
