[Queensland School of Film and Television] (QSFT) is located in Brisbane, Queensland, "Australia"and is a nationally registered training organisation offering fully accredited courses in all technical disciplines of filmmaking. The school specialises in the behind-the-scenes aspects of film and television and have established links with the local industry. The school caters for a broad range of people interested in the film and television industry, ranging from recent school leavers to adults wanting to either improve their skills or change professions. Reputation
QSFT enjoys a respected reputation within the Australian film and television industry and are recognised for producing graduates with great skills, expertise, enthusiasm and positive attitudes. Their courses are very hands-on with students required to produce numerous short films, documentaries, music video clips, television advertisements and experimental films.
Former students of QSFT have gone on to work on films such as Harry Potter, King Kong, Australia, Superman Returns, Charlotte's Web, Ghost Rider, Fool's Gold, and World Trade Centre, along with television programs such as Big Brother, Crocodile Hunter
Lecturers
All QSFT lecturers currently work in the industry and provide students with up-to-date training. QSFT lecturers also assist students develop the relationship networks that are crucial to launching a career in the industry.
Industry Based Training
All subjects in our courses are directly relevant to the film and television industry. To ensure that students are aware of industry practices, field trips to professional production facilities are incorporated into the training program.
Courses
[Queensland School of Film and Television] offers a 2 year Diploma of Screen course as well as a 6 month Certificate II and Certificate III in Screen course. These courses can be studied full or part time.
