The Newhall School District is a school district in the Santa Clarita Valley that serves the Valencia and Newhall communities within the city of Santa Clarita, California, as well as the Stevenson Ranch community in unincorporated Los Angeles County. As of March 1, 2008, it has 10 elementary schools (McGrath Elementary (awarded a 2011 Blue Ribbon[1]), Meadows Elementary, Newhall Elementary, Oak Hills Elementary, Old Orchard Elementary, Peachland Elementary, Pico Canyon Elementary, Stevenson Ranch Elementary, Valencia Valley Elementary and Wiley Canyon Elementary). The superintendent is Dr. Marc Winger.
History
The first school was Newhall Elementary.It was built at the intersection of Walnut & 9th. The highest school's api test score according to the signal for 2009-2010 was Stevenson Ranch Elementary and the lowest was Newhall Elementary.
