Health field

Health field

The health field is a concept that emerged from the 1974 LaLonde report in Canada. Essentially, LaLonde attempted to "look beyond biology" when explaining the causality of disease in Canada.

LaLonde identified four interdependent fields that were responsible for determining an individual's health. These are:

# Environment
# Lifestyle
# Biomedical
# Healthcare services
