Greg Hurst

Greg Hurst (born 1959) is an American journalist. He currently anchors Belo owned KHOU-TV in Houston, Texas, alongside Lucy Noland at 5 and 10 p.m.; and with Len Cannon at 6 p.m.

Career

Greg Hurst started his career at KATV 7 in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1981. Then, he headed to San Diego where he began reporting for KFMB-TV. From 1989 to 1997, Hurst was a reporter and news anchor at WABC-TV in New York City as the anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast, alongide veteran anchor Roz Abrams While he was there, Hurst frequently filled in for veteran New Yorker Bill Beutel. An award-winning journalist, Hurst has covered major and minor reports for his career. Hurst has traveled out of the country to report many world breaking events, including Iraq and other parts of the Middle East to cover world news. He lives in the Memorial Villages area of Houston, and has two teen daughters.

Personal life

Greg Hurst was born in 1959 in Richardson, Texas. He contributes time to children's charities, organizations and plays jazz flute.
