He first gained fame when he directed the action thriller "Dhoom" (2004). The film was a huge hit and practically revived the careers of the actors and actresses starring in the film.

He then directed the sequel to "Dhoom", which is called "Dhoom 2". The film starred three of the main actors from the previous film: Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Rimi Sen. Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu were also in the film. The film, famous for its stunts, came out as the highest grosser of 2006.His latest flick- Kidnap, slated to be released soon is a remake of barood- a rishi kapoor-shoma anad starer made around 2 decades back.
