Taffy Nivert

Taffy Nivert (also Taffy Danoff) was born October 25, 1944, in Washington, DC.She attended College of Steubenville before becoming a member of folk singing duo called Fat City with her then-husband Bill Danoff.They would later compose several songs for John Denver and share a writing credit for "Take Me Home, Country Roads."She won a Grammy Award in 1976 for her part in the song "Afternoon Delight," which was resurrected in the public mind after Will Ferrell's movie "" featured it in a bit.She toured with the Moody Blues and was a member of the Starland Vocal Band, which spun off into the eponymous television variety show "Starland Vocal Band".Nivert appeared as a guest on many shows including "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson and "The John Denver Show."
