María Isabel González-Meneses García-Valdecasas commonly known as Mai Meneses (Madrid, 4 January 1978), is a Spanish singer-songwriter.
Mai Meneses, the youngest of six children, holds a Bachelor degree in Law from Universidad San Pablo CEU (Madrid). In 2002, she was a contestant on the 2nd series of Operación Triunfo, where she was first to be voted off; after her participation, she released her first single, titled Vuelve.
In 2003, she collaborated in one of the songs of "Soy capaz & Pequeñas cosas" by Inma Serrano called Mi Amor. It was released as a single, and its remix was widely played across Spain. She started the pop band Nena Daconte. In 2005 they released their debut album He Perdido Los Zapatos under their own label Daconte Music. The next year Universal Music signed them and re-released the album with a bonus track (a remix of the song Idiota). This album was the 3rd best selling album in Spain. It included En que estrella estará, which became the most downloaded song of Spain that same year.
Their second album, titled "Retales De Carnaval", was released on September 30, 2008. The first single, "Tenia Tanto Que Darte", premiered on 23 August and became Spain's Best Selling song of 2008 on iTunes
