Elechi Amadi (born May 12, 1934) is a Nigerian writer. He has authored three African novels: The Concubine, The Great Ponds and The Slave. The Concubine, one of his classic novels of modern African literature has been made into a film. The Concubine written by Elechi Amadi and directed by the accomplished Nollywood movies director Andy Amenechi.
