Frankford High School is a public high school in the School District of Philadelphia. It is located at Oxford Avenue and Wakeling Street in the Frankford section of Northeast Philadelphia.

Frankford was founded in 1910 as an annex to Central High School. For the school's colors, blue was added to the red and gold of Central. Frankford's slogan is "Home of Champions," a nod to its longstanding tradition of fielding strong sports teams. The school's athletic teams are nicknamed the Pioneers.

School uniform

Frankford students are required to wear school uniforms [http://www.phila.k12.pa.us/offices/osm/uniforms/#f] . Uniforms consist of blue collared shirts and khaki bottoms.

Other Facts

Frankford High School is the only high school in the United States with its own full pipe organ; Frankford has one of three pipe organs in the city.

Frankford is one of the few schools in the country to have three colors instead of two.

The frankford Pioneers wrestling team has the longest streak of public league championship, winning the championship from 1997-2007.

The pioneers football team has 27 city titles more than any other philadelphia school.
