Concordia College, Selma is a college of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod's Concordia University System, located in Selma, Alabama in the United States. It is the only historically black college in the Concordia System.

History

Founded in 1922 as part of the Synodical Conference Mission Program, the college was known until 1981 as Alabama Lutheran Academy and Junior College.

Athletics

The Concordia College sports teams, collectively known as the Hornets, compete in men's intercollegiate basketball, soccer, golf, football, tennis, cross country, ice hockey, baseball and wrestling along with women's intercollegiate softball, indoor track, swimming, soccer, golf, ice hockey, volleyball, indoor track, cross country and tennis. Their football won the conference championship in 2005.
