Career
On deciding to become an actor, she had to change her birth surname from Caplan to Catz as there was already an actress with that name registered at Equity. She came up with Catz after seeing a doodle of a
cat , but ironically she is extremely allergic to cats.She has appeared in "
All Quiet on the Preston Front ", "The Bill ", "Peak Practice ", "The Vice" and "Murder in Suburbia ". Her most recent role was inITV1 's "Doc Martin ", where she plays primary school teacher Louisa Glasson. She has played this role to the present day; there have been three series broadcast so far, with a fourth commissioned.Personal life
Married to fellow actor
Michael Higgs ; the couple met on the set of "The Bill ". They have a son named Sonny and a daughter named Honour.Catz has played in a folk band called "Sapphire" and an indie outfit called "Monoland."
