Bahrain School is an international school located in Juffair, Bahrain following the American curriculum. The school is operated by the Bahrain International School Association (BISA) with the United States Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) and takes students from Kindergarten to Twelfth grade. It is the only DoDEA school in the Gulf. The closest DoDEA school to Bahrain School is George C. Marshall School in Ankara, Turkey. It provides education to the children of the United States Military found in Bahrain as well as non-members of the US Military. This, however, has declined since the beginning of the Iraq War.

Accreditation

The school is accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, and is authorized to offer both certificate and full diploma courses by the International Baccalaureate Organization. It became the first school in the country to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 1982 ^{[http://www.ibo.org/school/000205/]} . The school offers a U.S. High School Diploma as well.

Tuition Fees

The annual tuition fees are around $18,000 for Kindergarten through Grade 6, around $19,000 for Grade 7 through Grade 8, and around $20,000 from Grade 9 through Grade 12.

Bahrain School participates in the Bahrain Island League for sports. Its most notable rivals are Ibn Khuldoon National School and Bayan School.
