Kristín Steinsdóttir is a well-known children's author and translator in
Iceland .She was on the board of The Writer's Union of Iceland from
1993 –2001 and chair of The Icelandic Association of Children's Book Writers (SÍUNG) from1999 -2003 .Kristín Steinsdóttir was born in
Seyðisfjörður onMarch 11 ,1946 , and has been writing since1988 . She received aBachelor of Arts degree in Danish and German from theUniversity of Iceland .Awards
