August 1 ,1941 inBrooklyn ,New York -February 23 ,2006 inManhattan ,New York City ) was an Americanwriter . Busch was a master of the short story and one of America’s most prolific writers of fiction long and short.Busch graduated from
Muhlenberg College and earned a master's degree from Columbia. He wasprofessor emeritus ofliterature atColgate University in Hamilton,New York from 1966 to 2003. He won numerous awards, including the American Academy of Arts and Letters Fiction Award in 1986 and the PEN/Malamud Award in 1991.Honours and Awards
